What makes a workplace truly great? Is it the benefits, the leadership, the career growth opportunities? Or is it something less tangible, like feeling valued, tackling meaningful work, or the camaraderie that turns colleagues into a community? At Wills Group and Dash In, we believe it’s all of the above.

For the fourth consecutive year, we’re proud to be Great Place to Work® certified—a recognition based entirely on feedback from our team members. More than just a title, this certification reflects a culture where team members feel empowered, supported, and inspired to do their best work.

At a time when workplace culture matters more than ever, our team highlights what makes their experience stand out: trust in leadership, opportunities to grow, and a sense of purpose beyond the job description. So, what does it mean to be a great place to work? Let’s explore the insights that make Wills Group and Dash In a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and excited to grow.

What It Means to Be Great Place to Work® Certified

Being Great Place to Work® certified is about recognizing what happens daily behind the scenes. Unlike other business awards, this certification is based entirely on direct team member feedback, measuring trust in leadership, workplace culture, and the overall team’s experience. Achieving it for four consecutive years means we’re consistently meeting the high standards our team values most.

The certification process involves two key components. First, team members complete the Trust Index™ Survey, which assesses workplace experiences in areas like respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. Second, companies submit a Culture Brief™, which provides insight into workplace policies, benefits, and company culture. To earn certification, 7 out of 10 team members must report a consistently positive experience at work—a benchmark that signals a strong and thriving workplace culture.

Our team’s feedback paints an authentic picture of what it’s like to work here:

  • 85% of team members say Wills Group and Dash In is a great place to work, compared to 57% at a typical U.S. company.
  • 91% of team members believe the service we provide to customers is “excellent.”
  • 91% say they felt welcomed when they joined the company.
  • 90% feel they are treated as full members of the team, regardless of position.
  • 89% are proud of the ways we contribute to the community.
  • 88% say our facilities create a positive work environment.

Team members describe their work experience with words like “team, community, leadership, support, flexibility, growth, family, and opportunity.” Whether it’s our strong sense of purpose, leadership transparency, or commitment to our teams’ well-being, this certification affirms that we’re fostering careers and building a culture where people feel connected and inspired.

Beyond recognition, this certification serves as a reflection and a roadmap for continued improvement. Our team members’ insights drive our commitment to evolving, adapting, and ensuring that Wills Group and Dash In remain workplaces where people feel valued, respected, and excited to contribute.

So, what do these survey results look like in action? Let’s take a closer look at the culture and initiatives that bring these numbers to life.

Our Team Member Experience

Feeling welcomed at work lays the foundation for a fulfilling career. According to Great Place to Work® survey results, 91% of team members felt welcomed when they joined, reflecting our onboarding process that helps new team members feel prepared and connected from day one. Beyond onboarding, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) like Women of Wills Group (WoW) and Families in Motion (FiM) provide opportunities to build relationships, find mentorship, and foster camaraderie.

That support extends to every role, from corporate offices to Dash In and Splash In locations. Ninety percent of team members feel like full members of the team, and we reinforce that with equitable benefits for full-time and part-time team members. For example, we offer a competitive 401(k) match of up to 7%, profit-sharing, affordable health insurance options, and tuition reimbursement with no cap, ensuring every team member has the opportunity to grow and succeed.

Team members also take pride in their impact beyond the workplace. 89% say they are proud of how we support the community and make it easy for them to get involved. Through pillar community engagement programs like Nourishing Children and Families, Reimagining Outdoor Spaces, and Advancing Waterways and Watersheds, we partner with food banks, revitalize community spaces, and protect the environment. Team members can also get paid time off to volunteer, making it easy to contribute to causes they care about.

A great workplace is also about the environment we create. 88% of team members say our facilities contribute to a positive work experience, and we continue to modernize and improve them. For example, our new and updated Dash In stores feature modern interiors and an elevated atmosphere, creating welcoming, functional spaces for team members and guests alike.

By implementing these initiatives, we strive to create a workplace where every team member feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Stronger Together

At Wills Group and Dash In, being a Great Place to Work® is about creating an environment where people feel valued and supported. From the start, we strive to make sure team members feel welcome and set up for success. With strong benefits, career development opportunities, and a commitment to giving back, we’re building a culture where everyone can grow and succeed.

Looking ahead, we will continue listening, evolving, and strengthening our workplace. A great workplace isn’t defined by an award. It’s built by the people who make it that way every day.
