Craig A. Ruppert
Craig Ruppert is president of Ruppert Companies, composed of Ruppert Landscape, which performs commercial landscape installation and management from 19 branch offices in the Mid-Atlantic region and Texas and employs over 1,250 people; Ruppert Nurseries, a wholesale tree growing operation spanning more than 600 acres with over 65,000 trees; and Ruppert Properties, which owns, develops and manages select commercial properties in the Washington, D.C., area.
Mr. Ruppert currently serves on the boards of Sandy Spring Bank and St. John’s College High School and is an active leader in numerous trade and charitable organizations including the Montgomery County Farmers Club, 2030 Group, Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region, Food for the Poor, and The Community Foundation of Montgomery County. In addition, he formally served as Class B Director of The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and Chairman of Young Presidents’ Organization (Washington Metro & U.S. Capital Chapters). Mr. Ruppert and the Ruppert organization have been honored with a National Capital Business Ethics Award (2007), as well as Easter Seals Philanthropist of the Year (2007), Montgomery County Philanthropist of the Year (2008) and Catholic Business Person of the Year (2013).
He and his family also perform philanthropic endeavors through the Ruppert Family Foundation, which supports charitable organizations, primarily, but not exclusively, in the areas of childhood illness and distress, education and poverty.
