SMO Energy Keeps Puppies Warm This Winter

Pooch, pup, dog, man’s best friend, however you might refer to that four-legged friend, we all can relate to the joy and love of having a furry family member in the home. Sadly, some pups don’t have a family to call their own, and have taken temporary residence at the Humane Society of Calvert County, where they are patiently waiting to be adopted and find a permanent home. A lot goes into taking care of these pups, from daily care to vet visits, and as a result, there are a number of volunteers that contribute to make the shelter a healthy and happy temporary home.

SMO Energy wants to help make sure that these pups are warm and comfortable all winter long. On September 15th, SMO replaced the Humane Society’s old furnace and oil tank, free of charge. As part of our donation, SMO is now a featured company at the Humane Society of Calvert County, and the nonprofit organization is displaying the SMO brand throughout the shelter to show SMO’s continued support. The Humane Society volunteers are grateful and appreciative for the donation and thanked SMO for helping to keep these pups warm and comfortable through the winter months!
