Former Washington Redskin Tight End Chris Cooley met with customers and Redskin fans as part of grand re-opening
Dash In Food Stores, Inc. celebrated the grand re-opening of its newly remodeled Hawthorne location on 6305 Crain Highway at the intersection of Hawthorne Road in La Plata, Maryland. The store underwent a complete transformation to better reflect the Company’s focus on fresh ingredients, and its commitment to delivering customers with a more personalized shopping experience.
The newly remodeled 3,200 square-foot store offers patrons competitive fuel pricing, a new Splash In ECO Car Wash, and a chef-driven menu featuring fresh-made Craveable Sandwiches and salads. Dash In Food Stores serve as a hub for convenient living in every Dash In neighborhood they are located – the Hawthorne Dash In is open 24 hours seven days a week.
Former Washington Redskin Tight End, Chris Cooley, was on hand Thursday, April 6th to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. The event featured samplings of the new food offerings, free car washes, and an appearance by Pinch of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
“The store’s all-new design is based on our village concept, which features a store layout that reflects our commitment to enhancing the consumer experience at our Dash In locations,” commented Julian B. Wills VP, Retail Marketing. “We welcome the opportunity to deliver great food and memorable guest experiences in this new environment.”
Originally having opened its doors in 2007, the Hawthorne Dash In presents customers with an entirely new shopping experience that is contemporary and inviting. The store features a warm color palette with pops of red and stainless steel elements, rich wood floors and imagery from La Plata and surrounding communities. Updated signage and under lit merchandising fixtures provide for easier navigation through the store and higher visual interest on product displays.
The Dash In store also features an open kitchen and sandwich station that serves as a centerpiece, and makes clear the commitment to freshly prepared food for customers on the go. The kitchen is armed with a griddle, fryers and is accented by white subway tiles. A new, mouthwatering menu offers delights such as the Cranberry Chicken Croissant, the Turkey Bacon Aioli Melt and the Fiesta Chicken Salad. The kitchen also supports a new “Grab and Go,” menu that features both hot and cold all-new food options for time-pressured customers to enjoy.
In addition to an all-new Dash In, the Splash In ECO Car Wash has also been transformed. The car wash now features all-new RYKO Soft Gloss Maxx equipment and a PurClean continuous reclaim system. A new payment system allows Splash In customers to move quickly, and has been upgraded to include a new arch-style menu board, canopy, LED lighting and an RFID bracket. The remodeled Splash In car wash also includes weather canopies, and new Tommy Vacuums that feature overhead hoses for use on both sides of a vehicle. The new vacuum experience is easier to use – and FREE for all Splash In customers to utilize.
“The Hawthorne location is the 9th renovated Dash In to be opened over the past 24 months,” added Julian Wills. “The store represents DASH IN’s ongoing commitment to transform the Dash In experience to ensure customers have a wide range of choices that satisfy and help them move through their day.”
